Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 15, 2026
MCAT Mistakes is a personal study tool, independent and not affiliated with the AAMC, the MCAT exam, or any test-prep company. This policy explains what happens to the questions, screenshots, and notes you enter — in short: they stay on your device.
What's stored, and where
There is no account and no sign-in. Everything you enter — question text, your answer, the correct answer, notes, and topic tags — is saved in your browser's local storage. Screenshots you paste or upload are saved separately in your browser's IndexedDB storage. None of this data is sent to, or stored on, any server. It never leaves your device.
Because it lives entirely in your browser, this data is tied to that specific browser and device. Clearing your browser's site data, using a different browser, or switching devices means it won't be there.
Deleting your data
You can delete everything at any time from the app's Settings — this permanently removes all saved questions and screenshots from your browser. You can also clear it yourself through your browser's site data settings.
Analytics and tracking
This app does not use analytics, tracking cookies, or advertising scripts. The site is hosted on Vercel, which — like any web host — processes standard request logs (such as IP address and browser type) to serve pages; this is Vercel's infrastructure logging, not something this app configures or has access to.
Third parties
No question or screenshot data is shared with, or sent to, any third party. If a future version adds optional account sign-in or cloud sync, this policy will be updated first to explain exactly what changes and what data would be involved.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change with it.
